Hi! I would like to request the following data:
1) The number of tropical typhoons that have made landfall in the Philippines per year from the years 2011-2021
2) The intensity of each typhoon that made landfall in the Philippines per year from the years 2011-2021
3) The total cost of damages caused by each typhoon that made landfall in the Philippines from the years 2011-2021
Any additional data on the typhoons that made landfall and the damages they caused would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Greetings!
I would like to clarify that this data is only to be used in an assignment for the DEVC 127 (Data Journalism for Development) and is not going to be used for a thesis or research, hence why I am not able to submit a thesis or research proposal.
The purpose of this assignment is for us to experience requesting data sets from the government and the process of doing such. We will also be making initial observations on the dataset and conceptualizing possible data stories that may be written from the data set. The activity is more of a reflection on the process of requesting data and how this data can be utilized in data journalism.
I hope that this explanation justifies the request for the data despite not being able to submit a thesis or research proposal. Kindly let me know if there are other documents that you would like me to submit in light of this. Thank you!
