January 14, 2022 Dear Jovylyn Polintan, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 07, 2022 07:32:17 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for Covid 19-sickness assistance. Response to Request All information provided in eFOI are made public. For privacy, we will provide the information through email. Thank you ------------- -The Employees' Compensation Program (ECP) aims to provide disability or death benefits due to work-connected sickness or injury; -ECP covers all civilian employees in the government with GSIS coverage including uniformed personnel and all compulsory members of the SSS; -SSS serves as implementing agency of ECP in the private sector whereas GSIS implements the ECP in the public sector; the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) serves as appeal and policy-making body of the ECP; as implementing agency in the private sector, the evaluation of EC claims resides in the SSS; -EC benefits are distinct and separate from SSS and GSIS benefits; -EC cash assistance serves as accessory benefits to EC disability or death benefits due to work-connected covid19; For more information, you may reach us through our chatbot in our website ecc.gov.ph or FB page facebook.com/ecc.official Thank you.
