Hi DOT,
We would like to request documents, reports, or any data from the agency regarding the impact of COVID-19 on the Philippine tourism sector particularly how it affected small and large tourism operators in the country and the adjustment they did to keep their operations alive in the new normal. Included in this request also is the data on the actions and efforts exerted by the agency in response to the pandemic.

Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated 24 October 2021 09:52:54 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for the COVID-19 Impact and Responses Report.
Response to Request
Your FOI request was approved. We enclosed a copy of the information you have requested.
Likewise, please be informed that per the Department's Standard Monitoring and Enforcement Division (SMED), the creation of the monitoring file for closed tourism enterprises only started last February 2021. Hence, they do not have data for 2020.
Furthermore, we shall be sending the guidelines on the operations of tourism-related enterprises during the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to present, as we cannot attached it on the eFOI Portal due to its large file size.
Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested as we are still waiting for the feedback of the concerned office regarding the data on the number of tourism workers who became unemployed due to the COVID-19
pandemic from 2020 to present.
We hope to be able to send you the aforementioned data on or before 28 December 2021
Your right to request a review
