Good afternoon. I tested positive for the Covid-19 virus last October 03, 2022. Thru our office, I applied for cash assistance from the Social Security System (SSS) and the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) thru the SSS both of which were approved by SSS. But only the SSS portion was processed and paid by the office due to failure to access ECC application online. It has been six (6) months since SSS paid us. What should we do to be able to claim the ECC cash assistance? Your immediate reply is most appreciated. Thank you and kindest regards. Yvette Bede A. Matabalan

Thank you ------------- -The Employees' Compensation Program (ECP) aims to provide disability or death benefits due to work-connected sickness or injury; -ECP covers all civilian employees in the government with GSIS coverage including uniformed personnel and all compulsory members of the SSS; -SSS serves as implementing agency of ECP in the private sector whereas GSIS implements the ECP in the public sector; the Employees' Compensation Commission (ECC) serves as appeal and policy-making body of the ECP; as implementing agency in the private sector, the evaluation of EC claims resides in the SSS; -EC benefits are distinct and separate from SSS and GSIS benefits; -EC cash assistance serves as accessory benefits to EC disability or death benefits due to work-connected covid19; For more information, you may reach us through our chatbot in our website ecc.gov.ph or FB page facebook.com/ecc.official Thank you.
