Hello! My question is, can I have a copy of my contract with the company? They wouldn't give me because they said it was confidential. Is it legal to ask for a copy of my contract? And, do we have a law that says an employee should have a copy of his/her contract? If yes, can you tell me? Thank you.

October 2, 2017 Dear Samantha Hazel Sangil, Greetings! As a general rule, both parties are entitled to a true copy of a 2-party agreement. An employee should always ask for a copy of an employment contract signed by him/her as it formalizes mutual obligations of both parties.
