Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE)

According to DOLE, upon conclusion of their 'investigation' into POLO-HK, it was determined that Employeasy didn't have proper authorization to operate at POLO-HK. Subsequently, OIC Villafuerte made statements that were published in the media stating that all contracts would be processed manually because Employeasy was no longer providing services to POLO-HK. After talking to agencies and POLO staff, it was determined that Employeasy is still being used at POLO, given such, why is DOLE allowing Employeasy to do so?

Dear Ms. Graciadas:

This refers to you query entitlted: "Continued use of Employeasy despite no valid authorization".

Please allow us to clarify that ALA Villafuerte was interviewed sometime in October 2019 by Mr. Vir Lumicao of the Sun Newspaper. He told him that POLO-HK is still waiting for the official instruction from the Home Office and in case that the services of the existing  provider will be terminated, then POLO-HK will revert to manual processing. However, the said media personnel apparently published a different information.

On 03 January  2020, POLO HK received an official communication from the Home Office instruction to cease from the operating the existing Employeasy system.

Accordingly, Employeasy group limited was notified to deactivate the system on 01 February 2020 in order to facilitate transition in the submission of reports and the surrender of the database.
