I am Denise D. Estrella a fifth-year Bachelor of Science in Architecture at De La Salle University–Dasmarinas, who is currently conducting a thesis entitled: “A Proposed Leisure Urban Farming of the Benguet State University’s Strawberry Farm by Redevelopment and Revitalization” in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science in Architecture.
To give you a brief insight into what my project is about, this thesis proposal intends to explore the integration of urban farming and leisure agriculture through the revitalization and redevelopment of Benguet State University’s Strawberry Farm. The purpose of this project is to make this leisure urban farm more approachable and interactive in consideration of the city's culture and traditions to create a novel experience for both tourists and locals. Additionally, this project attempts to use the new technologies that have emerged to keep up with the latest trends. One of its objectives is to focus on developing an effective and resilient design that is not only iconic but also works to promote a sustainable tourist destination that emphasizes all the possibilities of leisure urban farming.
Given this, I humbly request your permission to compile data on the strawberry farm's commercial areas and production, visitor arrival statistics, and vehicle arrival statistics. To be used as one of the data and considerations in planning the redevelopment of the Benguet state university strawberry farm for my thesis study.

You asked for the number of domestic and foreign visitors to Benguet State University’s Strawberry Farm from 2018 to 2023.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved.
We have enclosed a copy of the report submitted by the DOT-CAR.
Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested. According to DOT CAR, visitor arrivals are collected and consolidated on a quarterly basis, hence, data for 2023 is still unavailable.
Your right to request a review
