Step-by-step process for BIR compliance for a freelancer including: a. all forms to be filled b. requirements to be presented c. fees to be paid d. other important steps/procedures to be done outside of BIR office Please follow the process from filing for Certificate of Registration to filing of all ITR's. April 3, 2023 Dear Ms. Cabatingan: Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Mar 31, 2023 11:27:19 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for Complete Process for BIR Filing of Freelancer. Response to Request In reply, attached herewith the Information Materials on Tax Guide for Professionals. The type of taxes that will be paid by the Professional/Individual will be determined by the concerned personnel of the Revenue District Office (RDO) of the BIR having jurisdiction over your place of residence or online through ORUS (RMC 122-2022) in the bir website at www.bir.gov.ph homepage/eservices/ORUS links. Upon registration, you will be interviewed by a BIR staff in order to determine the appropriate internal revenue tax that you have to pay. A Certificate of Registration (COR) shall be issued to you. However, before its release, you or your authorized representative must attend seminar/briefing to be conducted by the concerned RDO. In the said seminar, your tax obligations are reiterated.
