5. List and Background of ongoing Projects, Programs, and Activities open for CSOs Participation
Answer: The Community Mortgage Program, the flagship program of the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), is a people-led financing scheme granting long-term mortgage loans to legally-organized homeowners associations (HOAs) in the Philippines. HOAs who wish to apply for loan application must be assisted with CMP-Mobilizers. A CMP-Mobilizer that is an organization (CSOs, NGOs, among others) working with communities of informal settlers whose principal role is to assist, organize, and prepare the HOAs for participation in CMP should be duly-accredited by SHFC as its partner. The communities’ respective local government units may also assist them with their housing loan application. You may check this link for SHFC's accredited CMP-Mobilizers and LGUs that have current projects with us: https://www.shfc.dhsud.gov.ph/partners-page/.
