Hi. Thank you for the data sent on Sept 16 (tracking #PHLPost-226805424544). I just have a few questions: 1. What are the differences/definitions of mail posted, delivered, and undelivered? 2. In tab “Top availed postal services in Bohol”, what do the numbers signify? Is it number of mails sent? And as of what date/CY is the data collected? 3. In tab “List of Bohol Post Office”, why is Corella, Dauis, Sikatuna, Danao, Sagbayan fall under Tagbilaran PO? And why is San Isidro under Antequera, so on and so forth. 4. In tab "No. of LC Bohol", as of what date/CY is the data collected?
September 29, 2022 Dear Fred Jordan Mikhail, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 26, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Clarifications on Provided Data on Post Office Statistics in Bohol. Response to your request We are denying this request for the same does not actually pertain to any existing document. We will just provide answers to your query directly in this reply. 1. What are the differences/definitions of mail posted, delivered, and undelivered? Mails posted - are mails posted in the different Post Offices for delivery by Letter Carriers in designated delivery Post Offices Mails delivered - are mails received from the Post Office of posting / mailing and which were delivered by Letter Carriers Mails undelivered - are mails which are received for delivery by a particular Post Office but which were not successfully delivered for several reasons: either the addressee moved, office is closed, addressee is deceased, addressee is unknown at the given address, etc. These undelivered mails will then be returned to the sender (RTS) 2. In tab “Top availed postal services in Bohol”, what do the numbers signify? Is it number of mails sent? And as of what date/CY is the data collected? -The numbers signify in pieces and this top availed postal services is based on Mail Volume Posted. The data collected is as of CY 2021. 3. In tab “List of Bohol Post Office”, why is Corella, Dauis, Sikatuna, Danao, Sagbayan fall under Tagbilaran PO? And why is San Isidro under Antequera, so on and so forth. Post Offices under a certain Post office as in the case of Dauis, Sikatuna, etc which are under Tagbilaran P.O. means that these Post Offices are considered as extension Post Offices and do not have any Postmaster. In the example, their mother Post Office is Tagbilaran City Post Office. These extension Post Offices are manned by Letter Carriers. Their financial accountability (stamps) is not given directly to them from the Area Stamp Custodian but are from their mother Post Office. These extension Post Offices also do not offer Money Order Service. 4. In tab "No. of LC Bohol", as of what date/CY is the data collected? -The No. of LC in Bohol is as of JUNE 2022. We hope we have answered your query.
