I would like to ask for clarification regarding the unit used to measure the phosphorus content of industrial effluents (mg PO4/L vs mg P-PO4/L). According to DAO 2016-08, phosphorus is measured as mg PO4/L and the limit for class C effluent is at 1 mg PO4/L. This means that in terms of phosphorus, the effluent should only contain 0.3 mg P/L (using unfiltered sample). Isn't this too low considering the European Commission Emission Limits for Phosphorus is at 0.5 - 3.0 mgP/L?
