19 January 2021 Dear Ms. Leah Donato, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 6 January 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following for your thesis: (1) Document regarding the CICL cases for the past two years (from 2018 -2020). Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) that may have the data that you require. Under Republic Act 10630 (the “Juvenile Justice Welfare Act”), the JJWC oversees the implementation of the law. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the JJWC by submitting a request to them via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 921-0565 or via email at [email protected]. Further, the data might be available at the Philippine National Police (PNP), specifically the Women Children Protection Center (WCPC), since people report crimes, even those committed by children, to the PNP directly. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PNP by submitting a request to the PNP via this portal. You may contact them by telephone at 8723-0401.
