This is to humbly ask financial assistance for my mother whose cancer recurred and is advised for 6 sessions of chemotherapy every 3 weeks. She was done with the first session last Dec.31 and is preparing for the 2nd session on Jan.21. The two chemo meds carboplatin and paclitaxel are amounting to 18,700 per session aside from the hospital bill. Thank you so much for the response.

January 19, 2022 Dear Charo Mae Lampad, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 18, 2022 03:52:15 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Chemotherapy Financial Assistance. Response to your request We wish to inform you that the coverage of financial assistance under the PCSO Medical Assistance Program is for hospital confinement, chemotherapy and dialysis requests. Application for assistance shall depend upon the location of the health facility where the patient is being managed/treated. For facilities within Metro Manila, assistance is processed through online application at the PCSO Official Website. Please go to , find the E-Services tab and click on the NCR Online Application for Medical Assistance. For the Medical Assistance Program requirements, kindly go to this link https://www.pcso.gov.ph/ProgramsAndServices/CAD/MedicalAccessProgram.aspx. For chemotherapy, post kidney and liver transplant/ hemophilia medicines and epoetin injection under the PCSO Medical Access Program, please find the attached herein new procedures for the availment of medicines for outpatients under the Medical Access Program in NCR. For those in the provinces, either proceed directly to the servicing PCSO Branch Office or coordinate first with the Medical Social Services or Billing Department of the facility, if applicable, to inquire on the specific process, as procedures vary between Branch Offices.
