November 24, 2020 Dear Roselee, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 23, 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Certification of Travel Records. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we would deny your request in compliance to DATA PRIVACY ACT of 2012 (RA 10173). It is comprehensive and strict privacy legislation “to protect the fundamental human right of privacy, of communication while ensuring free flow of information to promote innovation and growth". Travel record consists the passenger's information. Thus, it shall only be personally request and applied in BI Main Office by the owner of the data unless with Special Power of Attorney (SPA) if by representative or Court Order.
