Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated 15 February 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your request
You requested information on the following from 2015 - 2020 for your architectural thesis: (1) The number of reported cases of child abuse within CALABARZON; (2) The number of Child Abuse cases within the Province of Laguna; (3) Most common cases of Child abuse in Laguna and CALABARZON; and (4) Design Guidelines or protocol for rehabilitation centers for abused children.
Response to your request
Unfortunately, the DSWD has limited data on numbers (1), (2) and (3), we only have data with respect to those under our centers and institutions in CALABARZON. For number (4), we shall check if we have data on such. Thus, the DSWD can only partially grant your request and we shall refer your request with respect to this matter to the proper DSWD offices.
For complete data for numbers (1), (2) and (3), the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) may have the data you require. Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at
[email protected].
Further, data might be also available at the Philippine National Police (PNP), specifically the Women Children Protection Center (WCPC), since people report crimes, to the PNP directly. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PNP by submitting a request to the PNP via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 8723-0401.
Finally, as these are requests for data in a particular region - CALABARZON, the respective provinces, cities and municipalities of CALABARZON, might be in a better position to provide the data you requested.
Thank you.
