Hi! I would like to ask for information regarding the following: 1. How much do we spend for Bahay Pag-asa annually? 2. How many children in conflict with law are in the government's custody right now? 3. How much, overall, do we spend for Juvenile Intervention Programs annually? 4. Has the budget increased or decreased through the years? Thanks!

10 April 2018 Dear Mr. Jubert Calamba: You asked for “information regarding budget and expenditures for Bahay Pag-asa and total number of children in conflict with law under government’s custody”. Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. Under Republic Act 10630 (the “Juvenile Justice Welfare Act”), the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) oversees the implementation of the law and monitors the establishment of Bahay Pag-asa. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the JJWC. Very truly yours, Carlo Florendo C. Castro FOI Decision Maker
