August 7, 2022 Dear Romelyn, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 06, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for blacklisted in south korea. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. However, you may inquire to the respective embassy of your country of destination if your concern is whether or not you are blacklisted to a certain country. The Bureau only has the list of Filipinos who have Hold Departure Order (HDO), Watchlist Order (WLO), Alert List Order (ALO) and other issuance similar to the same, which classified as Derogatory Record. Because Derogatory Record consists of personal information and it is protected under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, comprehensive and strict privacy legislation “to protect the fundamental human right of privacy, of communication while ensuring free flow of information to promote innovation and growth.” Thus, the Bureau could not disclose the subject information online. It can only be disclosed to the owner of the information, to a third party if with Special Power of Attorney of the owner of the Data or with a court order.
