I would like to request for information regarding the compensation as a Barangay Tanod in Barangay Poblacion Mandaluyong City. 1.) Monthly compensation/ honararium for Barangay Tanod. 2.) Date when the compensation/ honararium is supposed to be released. 3.) Other financial benefits that was released (i.e. Christmas bonus, insurance etc.) Note: I understand that government employees salary cannot be disclosed unless the specific person requests for it. General information will really be helpful as the barangay is delaying the tanods honorarium.

March 18, 2019 Dear Jonathan Jaime, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Mar 08, 2019 03:57:26 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Salary Grade Schedule (current) [link] https://www.dbm.gov.ph/wp-content/uploads/Issuances/2019/Corporate-Budget-Circular/CORPORATE_BUDGET_CIRCULAR_NO_23.pdf 3. Barangay Tanod Compensation - Based on the contents of the Local Budget Circular no. 63, section 3.0 (Rules and regulations) particularly in section 3.4, Barangay Tanods are entitled to salary similar to Salary Grade (SG) 1. This however is subject to change (please refer to sec 3.5 to 3.9 of the Circular) depending on the circumstances of the Barangay and the City/Municipality it is situated on. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Hon. Eduardo M. Año, Secretary, DILG-NAPOLCOM Center. Quezon Ave., Quezon city. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
