Dear Hanna Grace Acoyong,
I refer to my letter of Oct 09, 2019 11:00:55 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Average MRT/LRT breakdown per week.
Per memorandum released by our Legal Affairs Office last 24 August 2018, any person who request information or documents in DOTr via the eFOI portal should "reasonably describe the information requested, and the reason for, or purpose of, the request for information." This also in accordance to E.O No. 2, s. 2016.
In order for us to work further on your request, we need more information from you regarding your query. Please state from what school you are, what is the purpose of the request, and to what extent you will use the information that you are requesting.
For item number 2, kindly clarify the specific period for the requested data of the average number of commuters.
The requested data regarding MRT-3 will be forwarded to the concerned office. However, for the LRT-2 data, you may wish to contact Light rail Transit Authority (LRTA) on the same eFOI portal while for LRT-1 data, you may contact Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) through their website via https://lrmc.com.ph/contact-us/.

Hello! Regarding the average number of commuter who ride MRT/LRT, I would like to know the number from January to October 2019. I am a student from the University of the Philippines Los Baños and we’re asked to write try this portal and use it as a valid source for information. And since the crisis on mass transportation is an evident issue in the present, I would like to add up my knowledge regarding it. I am hoping you could process my request, thank you.
