Coz I have a package came from UK those are my migration documents and it was sent thru diplomatic courier and received by a courier here in our country and upon scanning my package they saw a cheque containing a huge money and the local courier ask me to pay for the certificate. Hope you can help me.

The AMLC does not issue certifications for the release of packages or cheques.
The AMLC, as the central anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) authority of the Philippines, primarily functions as a financial intelligence unit, money laundering/terrorism financing investigator and prosecutor, as well as an AML/CTF supervisor, in accordance with Republic Act No. 9160, otherwise known as the Anti-Money Laundering Act of 2001, as amended, and its 2018 Implementing Rules and Regulations. It has no mandate to act as a “clearing house” for any kind of financial transactions nor does it issue certifications and clearances for fund transfers and/or releases of goods and monies.
We refer you to our Public Advisory against Scammers, accessible at Public Advisory on Scammers (amlc.gov.ph). We advise you to kindly refrain from communicating with the person purporting to be a courier service.
