19 March 2021 Dear Ms. Ballego: Thank you for your request dated 01 March 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (S. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request is: “Hi I would like to request AMLC Provisionary Certificate of Registration for this a requirement for my insurance policy registration for my online bags and accessories etc. Name. I hope you can help me. Thank you.” Please be advised that the business of online (selling) of bags and accessories does not make one a covered person, unless you are engaged in any business classified as Designated Non-Financial Business or Profession (DNFBP), an example of which is being a dealer in precious stones or precious metals. If your business is classified as a DNFBP, you should register with the AMLC. AMLC Registration is free and can be done online. The step-by-step registration procedure is laid down in the AMLC Registration and Reporting Guidelines (ARRG), particularly, the Online Registration System (ORS) and the Transaction Security Protocol (TSP), copies of these manuals are attached. Once registered, a Certificate of Registration (COR) or Provisional Certificate of Registration (PCOR), would be issued depending on the completeness of compliance with the documentary requirements. Should you have further queries, you may contact the Registration Staff, Compliance and Supervision Group, Detection and Prevention Department, AMLCS, through tel. nos. 8708-7067, 5302-3848, 5310-3244.
