Dear Polo Team, Good day! We would like to follow up regarding the Owwa financial assistance (Riyadh) as we suffered in covid last June 29 to July 6 2021. we heard that their is financial assistance program for the covid 19 patient. last August 4 we submitted all the necessary documents as required by Polo Owwa but still we did not get any replies means we tried to call the Polo owwa riyadh, sending emails and going to the polo office and still we didnt get any calls or message. hoping for a better system in the future to receive that will not take time, looking forward for your reply sir

September 2, 2021 Dear Mr. Romeo Buenaobra, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 31, 2021 04:29:34 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for an update of your application to the program "Alagang Kabayan". Foremost, we at OWWA Central Office hope you are fine and have recovered from COVID-19. The project you are seeking assistance for is the "OWWA Alagang Kabayan" which is a financial assistance equivalent to PhP10,000.00 for OFWs afflicted by the COVID-19 while at the country of work/jobsite. Requirements are submitted to POLO-OWWA (in your case POLO-Riyadh) and the procedure is for the POLO-OWWA to inform the OFW applicant of the financial benefit, once qualified. However, if the OFW was repatriated and have availed of the DOLE-AKAP, which are records show that you did receive in 01/04/2021, then you are no longer entitled to the "Alagang Kabayan." Unless, you have documents to prove that you were rehired and travelled back to the Kingdom. Unfortunately, the Freedom of Information (FOI) does not provide information about personal follow-ups. Hence, if you are back overseas and got sick from COVID-19, then you have to direct your queries and follow-up with the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh with an attention to POLO-OWWA. We hope your patience is long and do not wear-out easily since the KSA government have issued instructions and protocols on Working Arrangement and the prevention of the spread of COVID-19 in the Kingdom, hence limiting the face-to-face transactions as well as opening establishment. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within THIRTY (30) calendar days from the date we received your review request. However, if you are still not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you.
