Good day! I am John alfred T. Carreon, I am an applicant of the 1st cycle attrition 2022 but I know they going to marked disqualified due to over age and no NAPOLCOM age waiver. I really wanted to become a Police Officer. I graduated in college last 2018 ate age of 27 but not able to take an exam due to my mothers death, i need to work after my mother died. I took the NAPOLCOM exam last July 31, 2021 and luckily I passed but due to my age I was not able to make it. Hoping and praying that you could be able to help me on how to get an age WAIVER. January 28, 2022 Dear John Alfred Carreon, Greetings! Please be informed that under Sections 30-32 of Republic Act No. 6975 as amended by Section 14 of Republic Act No. 8551 “No person shall be appointed as officer or member of the PNP unless he possesses the following minimum qualifications.” xxx Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.xxx Further, pursuant to NAPOLCOM Memorandum Circular No. 2013-004 dated May 21, 2013, “The age requirement for initial appointment to the PNP may be waived only when the number of qualified applicants falls below the approved national/regional quota. Waiver of the age requirement may be granted provided that the applicant shall not be less than twenty (20) or not more than thirty-five (35) years of age.” The following factors are being considered for the grant of waiver to applicants:  Possession of special skills in evidence gathering and safekeeping, cybercrime investigation, detection and prevention, crime scene investigation, martial arts, marksmanship and similar skills;  Special talents in the field of sports, music or arts and culture;  Extensive experience or training in forensic science and other legal, medical and technical services; and  Outstanding academic records and extracurricular activities of applicants during his/her school days, good family background in law enforcement or socio-civic activities, recognized social standing in the community, awards and commendations received, which should indicate to the Commission En Banc that the applicant can become a good member of the Philippine National Police. If you possessed the aforementioned factors, you may submit the following documentary requirements to recruiting unit where you processed your application: a. Completely Filled-out CSC Personal Data Sheet; b. Original PSA Birth Certificate; c. Authenticated Copy of Eligibility d. Authenticated Copy of TOR/DIPLOMA; and e.
