Being an advocate of sound policymaking in the higher education sector, I decided to pursue my graduate thesis. With this study, I intend to:
• See how the concept of quality is constructed and articulated in Philippine higher education policy and in SUCs;
• Explore the discursive construction and articulation of quality in Philippine higher education policy documents; and in SUCs enabling laws, operations manuals, and accomplishment reports;
• Look into the kind of textual means used to establish quality in the policy documents;
• Explore what the kinds of values the quality policy promote; and
• Describe quality as a concept in the context of Philippine higher education.
These documents shall undergo three dimensions of analyses: text, discourse, and social practice to provide how MMSU discursively articulate and construct quality in its policies.
As noted in the request, the most recent version of the documents are requested. For example, should the latest version of a document is 2003, and the document is currently being revised, the 2003 document shall be suffcient.
I do hope you are able to cater these requests.
Thank you.
