I am writing to request historical wind speed data for Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines, for the purpose of calculating a 300-year return period for wind events. This data is essential for assessing the frequency and magnitude of extreme wind events in the region.
Specifically, I am seeking the following information:
1.Historical wind speed records, including both daily and hourly data, if available.
2.Data spanning as many decades as possible to ensure a comprehensive dataset.
3.Wind speed records for the Aparri weather station, including any relevant metadata such as location coordinates,

I refer to my letter of Oct 19, 2023 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for 300 YEAR RETURN PERIOD CALCULATIONS. In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.
As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of Jan 11, 2024.
You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.
Your right to request a review
