Hello, FOI and DOST-PAGASA! I would like to inquire on the requirements needed for the data I'm requesting.
As stated in my first message, I am going to use the data I'm requesting for academic/educational purposes, but not for the purpose of conducting a research r thesis. I intend to use them simply for a learning task/activity under the Mete136 (Meteorological Instruments and Methods of Observation) course.
On the specifics, I intend to use the data for Learning Task #3 of Mete136, wherein I and my classmates are tasked to gather surface synoptic weather observation data from the DOST-PAGASA stations assigned to each of us (for me, I was assigned to NAIA station) and make a summary about the trends and weather conditions that the data show.
This means that I cannot provide the last requirement (a copy of my thesis/research proposal), since I'm not making a research or thesis but only a class activity/learning task.
With this, I would like to ask the office if it is still permissible for me to acquire the requested data without the last requirement or even if I'm going to use the data only for a class activity/learning task. Will my request be accepted even though I will not submit a thesis/research proposal, since my purpose is only for a class activity/learning task?
I'm hoping for your kind response on this matter. Thank you very much!
