Good day, I am John Robert Anthony P. Tabudlong, a 3rd-year student from Ateneo de Davao University in Davao City. I am writing to formally request historical crime data as the basis dataset for my Computer Science Thesis study focusing on creating a machine learning model that forecasts and predict potential crime hotspots in the city. If possible, I would like to request a dataset spanning from 2001-2024. If not, the oldest possible record up until the latest will suffice (preferrably at least 15 years worth of data). The contents of the records I need are: (Note: Names of criminal offenders are not needed) 1. Case Number 2. Type of Crime (Robbery, Assault, etc.) 3. Crime escription (Armed - Handgun, No Weapon, etc.) 4. Date of Crime 5. Time of Crime 6. Barangay 7. Street 8. Arrested (True/False) 9. Domestic (True/False) Those are the data I need for our study. Murder cases can be excluded if you prefer. For a more clear visual, you can check this website as reference for what I mean: www.kaggle.com/datasets/chicago/chicago-crime The requested information will be used exclusively for academic purposes and will greatly enhance the success and credibility of our Thesis study.
