Hi! I'm a 5th year architecture student currently conducting a thesis proposing the Philippine Hematology Hospital and Research Institute of the Philippines. In line with this, may I request your good office of the following data: 1. Statistical report of patients with blood diseases (e.g. anemia, thalassemia, hemophilia, leukemia, etc.) 2. Complete and updated hospital and laboratories floor plan 3. Organizational Chart of the Laboratory and Hematology Department

Dear Ms. Gonzales,

Good day.  Prior to our endorsement of your request to the concerned department,  there are certain procedures being implemented in PGH that you need to undertake.   Since PGH is under UP Manila, data gathering procedures that are currently implemented in UP Manila are also being observed in PGH.  

We would like to first recommend seeking endorsement from the UP Manila Research Ethics Board.  It can be accessed online through the UPMREB website (reb.upm.edu.ph).  Subsequently, you need to register to the Research Grants Administration Office (RGAO) via online. Once appropriate clearances have been obtained, the PGH Expanded Hospital Research Office (EHRO) will issue a permit for the request to proceed.  

For clarification and other inquiries pertaining to the conduct of research in PGH, the EHRO can be reached at telephone number 8554-8400 local 2064.  Its office is located on the second floor of UP PGH.
