Hello. Good morning! I would like to kindly request information on whether a legal wife who has been separated from the deceased husband for 33 years and is not dependent on the deceased husband when he was still alive, has claim on the death benefit of the deceased husband. I saw a supreme court ruling regarding this. Also, please let me know what is the course of action to take because the legitimate adult child of the deceased husband lied in the reporting to civil registrar. she made it appear on the death certificate that the deceased was living with them, when in fact, he has been living with the second family for 33 years until the time he died.
