Dear eFOI user,
Thank you for your request dated January 23, 2025, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
You have requested the Wrong Gender in the National/PhilSys ID.
We are pleased to inform you that your FOI request has been approved.
Currently, the process of updating and correction of demographic information in the National ID is in its pilot implementation phase in selected provinces in the country.
Please follow PhilSys official Facebook page https://facebook.com/PSAPhilSysOfficial and website https://philsys.gov.ph/ for the full rollout of the updating and correction of demographic information services.
We encourage you to safekeep your National ID and avoid sharing it on social media or with other people to protect your personal information.
Please also note that you do not need to register again as you already have a PhilSys Number or PSN, which is your permanent unique identification number in the National ID system registry.
We also ask for more patience with the delivery of your National ID. We understand that your National ID is important to you.
To further assist you, kindly send your Transaction Reference Number or TRN printed on the transaction slip provided to you during your Step 2 registration to our PhilSys Registry Office through email address [email protected]. You may also track your PhilID using your TRN at https://tracking.phlpost.gov.ph/.
Meanwhile, you can download your Digital National ID through https://https://national-id.gov.ph/ using your computer or smartphone with an internet connection or by downloading the eGovPH mobile application.
We would like to inform you that similar to the National ID and its other formats, the Digital National ID has the same validity and functionality and shall be honored and accepted in all transactions requiring proof of identity and age, subject to authentication.
You may also contact PhilSys Registry Office at Hotline 1388, and https://facebook.com/PSAPhilSysOfficial.
We would love to hear your Feedback so we can improve our services. Kindly fill out the PSA Customer feedback form from this link: https://tinyurl.com/OnlineCSSForm.
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Rene C. Mendoza
