Good day.
I am requesting this information on behalf of our office in Congress as we are planning on consolidating and creating an omnibus bill regarding all online scams to address the rise of cybercrimes and scams in the country.
Statistics across regions and provinces will help in building a case for this bill. The definitions used for scams internally in PNP will be important for sorting cybercrimes and defining these in the omnibus bill. We plan on making the legislative framework is updated and comprehensive enough to effectively combat these threats, taking into account current trends and data on cybercrimes, reflecting the reality on the ground.
As the 19th Congress is closing soon, this information is earnestly sought.
Thank you.
