Finally, below are the duties and responsibilities of each department:
- Coordinates the development of the overall research program of PIDS and monitors the implementation of its research projects. It provides both technical and management support to the research undertakings of the Institute to ensure the efficient and timely development, management, and implementation of its research programs and projects. It has two divisions: the Research Program Management Division (RPMD) and the Information and Communications Technology Services Division (ICTSD).
- Markets the research outputs of the Institute to promote their utilization. Its role, through the years, has evolved from simple dissemination to more proactive engagements that aim to educate and enlighten the public’s understanding of socioeconomic development issues. It does this through its two main divisions: the Publications and Circulation Division and the Public Affairs Division. It sets up appropriate seminars and fora to encourage dialogue between researchers and policymakers.
- Takes charge of providing effective, timely and facilitative auxiliary and logistical services to the day-to-day operation of the Institute and its research projects. It consists of the Administrative, Accounting and Control, Finance, and Procurement Management Divisions.
