Dear Mx. Maramba,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Oct. 30, 2024, made under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You have requested the number of VAW and VAC cases and NGOs/DSWD shelters.
Response to your request:
While our primary objective is to provide information whenever possible, we are only able to provide some of the information you requested.
1. We are sharing with you the available data on reported VAWC cases in the Philippines by region, covering the period from January 2018 to December 2023, as provided by the Philippine National Police (PNP). Please refer to the attached file for the complete details from the PNP.
We also recommend directly contacting the PNP, as they are the most appropriate office for your concerns. The PNP serves as the primary source of data on violence against women through their Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS), an electronic system fully operational in all police stations and community precincts nationwide.
