Response to Request
We are providing you with the available information on the Reported VAWC cases in NCR, Region III, and Region IV-A, which are from January 2020 to December 2023, as provided by the Philippine National Police. Please see the attachment in this reply for the file we have received from the mentioned agency.
As for your complete request, we kindly recommend that you directly contact the Philippine National Police and the Department of Social Welfare and Development for they are the most appropriate offices for your concern. Section 40 of RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004 mandates DSWD and LGUs to provide temporary shelters, counseling, psycho-social services, and/or recovery, rehabilitation programs, and livelihood assistance to the victims. PNP, on the other hand, is the primary source of data on the national incidence of violence against women via its well-established reporting system through their Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS). This electronic system is fully operational in all police stations and community precincts in the country.
