We are conducting a capstone project titled "AI-driven rice (palay) recommendation system for optimal planting window in the Philippines." This research focuses on the rice crop sector in the Philippines, aiming to leverage data-driven technologies to enhance yield optimization through effective planning and management strategies. To support our research, we are seeking datasets related to typhoon information. We need the data segmented by barangay, city/municipality, or region, ideally covering 20 years for historical data. A minimum of 10 years is acceptable if 20 years isn't available. Parameters Required: 1. Typhoon Tracks - Historical paths of typhoons affecting the Philippines - Landfall locations and dates 2. Typhoon Intensity - Maximum sustained wind speeds - Minimum central pressure - Typhoon categories or Signal Numbers 3. Impact Data - Associated rainfall amounts and duration - Flooding extent and duration caused by typhoons - Damage assessments specifically on rice crops 4. Frequency and Trends - Annual number of typhoons - Changes in typhoon frequency and intensity over time Preferred Formats: Excel, CSV, GIS-compatible formats (Shapefiles, GeoTIFF, KML/KMZ), JSON, Parquet, HDF5 We appreciate any assistance in acquiring relevant datasets or guidance on where we might find such data for our research.
