Business Name Registration: Sole proprietors must register their business name with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) if partnerships or corporations.
- Barangay Clearance: Businesses must secure a clearance from the barangay where the business will operate.: Businesses must secure a clearance from the barangay where the business will operate.
- Mayor’s Permit: A business permit or license to operate must be obtained from the local government unit (LGU).
- Tax Registration: Registration with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) is required for the issuance of a Tax Identification Number (TIN) and authority to print receipts/invoices.
- Social Security, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG Registration: Registration with these agencies is required if the business plans to employ workers.
- Other registering agencies for regulated businesses (e.g. food business is being registered to Food and Administration Authority, Travel Agencies in the Department of Tourism, Pawnshops and Money Exchange businesses with the Central Bank of the Philippines, etc.)

Your right to request a review
