Good Evening! Thank you for acknowledging our request. For the additional information needed in compliance with Sections 14.4.b., and 14.6 of the 2023 DOT FOI Manual: We are Nicole Anne L. Paco and Katrinka Gem A. Umali, 5th-year BS Architecture students at Batangas State University - The National Engineering University. These specific data are requested in to fulfill the partial requirements for the course ARCH 543 - Architectural Deisgn 9, toward the Degree of Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Our thesis is entitled: "AGLAOAG: A Proposed Holistic Expansion and Redevelopment of Laoag International Airport with a Convention Center and Mixed-Use Development through Culture Sensitive Design in the Ilocos Region." This study focuses on creating an adaptive and sustainable development by expanding and redeveloping the airport's services and amenities as it also expands its operational services. Our thesis scope encompasses integrating a (1) Convention Center and (2) Mixed-Use Development - Shopping Center, Hotel/Accommodation, Land Transport Terminal in the Laoag Int'l Airport as the means of "expanding" the development. These new facilities would be catering various user groups, by which the Tourist Group is considered the major user. For us to be able to identify the size, requirements and feasibility of adding these facilities, we need current data on tourist arrivals (by any transportation means) in 3 (three) locations. The reason for requesting Tourist data in Ilocos Region is that our proposed development would be made to cater to the entire region, not Just Ilocos Norte and Laoag City. As much as this is important, we also need data specific to the site of this development as they are the potential 'primary users'. P.S. In the past request, we asked for data on years 2020-2024, however, as we consulted our Thesis Advicer, we realized that we need data from at least 5 years or more, so may we change our requested years to 2018-2023?
