Purpose: to release the passport renewal of my client Mr. Eduardo Ando Canteros Jr.
Tracking no: #DFA-324507136605
Good afternoon, I am Atty. Eddie S. Garcia, this is in connecrtion with my client's passport renewal in the Office of Consular Affairs, Osaka, Japan. He is Mr. Eduardo Ando Canteros, originally a resident of Davao City but currently living oiin Osaka, Japan. He and his wife applied for the renewal of their passport way back 2022, however, his passport was not release without proper justification what is the main reason. We lareaday oinquired how are we going to comply with the necessary documents when we are uncertain to the root cause why his passport was put on hold. OCA Osaka just informed my client that he needs to execute an affidavit in detailed why he committed the violations as claimed by Kani Police Officers in Japan. To note, my client did not execute the affidavit pleading his guilt of the offenses claimed by the Kani Police as it will violate his rights against self-incrimination. How many times laready we sent incquiries to DFA-OCA Passport Division about the said concern. Our question is, why the OCA Osaka and OCA Consular Affairs cannot answer our query what is the main reason why the passport of my client cannot be release and inorder for us to reply and find solution. Please help and advise us what to do because my client wanted to go home to visit his sick father but could not do so due to the non-renewal of his passport. We have so many emails sent to the OCA passport division but could not get a concrete answer what we are going to do in order to release the passport of my client. Thank you so much for the immediate action you may extend on the matter. God speed! Sincerely, Atty. Eddie S. Garcia Counsel
