Good day! I am Flor Brian d. Nacion, a 4th hyear BS Civil Engineering student from the University of the Philippines Los BaƱos under the College of Engineering and Agro-industrial Technology. As part of our curriculum, I am currently conducting an undergraduate thesis entitled : " Assessing Flood Inundation in Converting Agroforestry Landscapes with Hybrid Modeling Approaches: The Case of Catanduanes, Philippines". This study utilizes various hybrid modeling approaches to predict the future land use and land cover (LULC) of Catanduanes. Subsequently, it assesses the impact of LULC changes, particularly the conversion of agroforestry landscapse, on the area's flood inundation patterns using hydrologic models. The findings of this study will be valuable for land use management and the development of effective flood mititagation strategies. With this, I would like to request the following data from your office if available: 1.) Topographic map of the Catanduanes Island (in Shapefile format) 2.) Airborne IfSAR and LiDAR-Derived Digital Terraim Model (DTM) and Digital Surface Model of Catanduanes Island (DSM) (in TIFF Format) 3.) Road Network Data, Protected Areas Data, and River Network Data of Catanduanes Island (in Shapefile Format) All the provided data will be treated with utmost confidentiality, and will only be used for academic purposes. If there are any specific procedures needed to access these data, please let me know, and we will be happy to comply. Please see the Google drive link of the request letter with my thesis adviser's (Engr. Carurucan) signature. https://drive.google.com/file/d/100M2NS04SkJlLAJEoKmwgZ9QAGKsJwGD/view?usp=drive_link
