Good day! I am Gian Reinier M. Malveda, a student from the University of the Philippines Diliman. For our undergraduate thesis, we are currently studying and attempting to establish the Competitive Renewable Energy Zones (CREZ) for off-grid islands. As such, we would like to request for the following GIS data for use solely in our academic research: 1. GIS Shapefile of Occidental Mindoro, 2. GIS data including the locations of roads and transmission lines, 3. GIS data of agricultural areas and forest cover of the island, 4. GIS data for the location/s of protected areas (heritage sites, natural parks, wildlife sanctuaries, if any), 5. GIS data for urban and industrial areas, and 6. GIS data for contour maps which include slope and elevation. If some of these are not available, any GIS data on the mentioned features would be greatly appreciated. We understand that this request is reasonable as these data will be used purely for research purpose. Additionally, if needed, we can submit a letter containing a signature from our adviser, Adonis Tio Phd. Thank you in advance for accomodating our request.
