Dear Pristine Angela Cruz,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated May 05, 2023 01:38:16 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for The number of reported sexual harassment cases in schools in Quezon City.
Response to Request
We are providing you with available information on the Crime Statistics on Sexual Harassment in the NCR, which are from January 2016 to December 2022, as provided by the Philippine National Police. Kindly see the attachment in this reply for the file we have received from the mentioned agency.
We would like to clarify that these data are the only ones that reached the PNP to be filed as a case, and they only cover those that have already been reported to the PNP police stations. For further assistance and clarification, it will be best for you to contact the Philippine National Police, for it is the most appropriate office for your concern. As of now, PNP is the only source of data on the national incidence of violence against women and has a well-established reporting system through their Crime Information Reporting and Analysis System (CIRAS). This electronic system is fully operational in all police stations and community precincts in the country. You may also reach out to the Department of Education for further technical information regarding data and analysis concerns.
We also suggest coordinating with the Department of Education to check the cases reported to their Committee on Decorum and Investigation (CODI).
