This is to provide to you data requested on the following:
1. Visitor Statistics on Protected Areas 2014-2023 (as of July 2023)
-please note that the data reflected includes the summary for visitor count reported
2. Income Generated through Ecotourism in Protected Areas 2014-2023 (as of July 2023)
-please do note that the data reflected only includes collection. Through time these are either already utilized by various protected areas on conservation and protection activities and maintenance of the ecotourism destinations.
3. List of Protected Areas with Ecotourism
-currently, out of 244 protected areas nationwide, we have identified 105 PAs which currently have existing ecotourism activities.
4. National Ecotourism Strategy and Action Plan (NESAP)
-the NESAP is still currently in the process of updating: NESAP 2023-2028 led by the DOT and DENR. For reference, you may access the previous version of the NESAP 2013-2022.
We hope that the information above would help you in your endeavor.
