ABSTRACT
The Philippines is known as an agricultural country with rich and vast areas for farming both in land and in bodies of water. On the contrary, the country leaves behind the agricultural sector, for the past two years, the Department of Agriculture is at the bottom of the budget allocation- a lack for Government support.
The rise of Business Process Outsourcing companies or white-collar jobs shuns the youth away from agriculture, this calls for aging farmers. Furthermore, the deprivation for knowledge in technological techniques of modern farming limits them to maximize the full potential of a land.
Isabela, the Queen City of the North, holds agriculture as its biggest industry: a top corn producer and the second highest rice-growing province. Located at the heart of Isabela, Villa Luna National High School is selected for the conduction of the study.
The objectives of the study are to integrate technology-based methods of farming to students to sustain the aging farmers, and to seek the support of the public and the private sector. Reaching the study’s goal, on a micro setting, the economic growth of Isabela; and on a macro scale, preserving this agriculture-rich nation, the Philippines.
The integration of technological methodologies of farming: Regenerative Farming, Hydroponics, Aquaponics, and food systems. The social integration of technology-based learnings through Architecture will sustain, nurture and preserve the future of agriculture, limited only to the study area, Isabela, centered on the nation.
