About this agency

The Weather Bureau was established in 1901 under the Department of Interior. In 1972 PAGASA was established thru P.D no. 78 under the Department of National Defense and was transferred to National Science and Technology Authority now Department of Science and Technology by virtue of E.O. no 128 in 1987.
