About this agency

The name Lingayen is derived from the word lingawen, which means looking back. It is composed of 32 barangays covering a total land area of 62.76 square kilometers. It is located along the Lingayen Gulf, the Agno River, and the Limahong Channel. The municipality’s geographical location leads the way because agriculture and aquaculture remain the town’s major industries.

The Municipality of Lingayen is a first-class municipality and the capital town of the province of Pangasinan. LGU Lingayen’s Mission is to provide an efficient, consistent, and responsive service to all. While its Vision is to be a benchmark of good governance, expanding economy, resilient people in a sustainable environment in 2030.
